First week of School
Well the first week of school is not quite over, but close enough. Eden calls her classroom her class-bedroom. The rooms are beautifully decorated like a cozy sitting room would be. I love that Eden has intuitively picked up on that.
Eden has been full of stories, ever excited for me to listen to every single one.
Today Eden told me that two girls told her to "go away" so she sat down and cried, she was soooo sad (dramatic effect), but then the big wolf came over and growled scaring the girls away. The wolf was "protecting her", she pet the wolf because the wolf was her pet.
Most of Eden's stories are about a wolf, a boy named Peter and a girl, Peter's friend. (can you tell what story Eden is currently obsessed with?) Most of the time the wolf scares the girl and boy Peter, but some how mysteriously the wolf ends up dying leaving the girl and boy safe.
Along with telling stories Eden has also begun correcting me whenever I refer to her as "E", she tells me her name is not "E" it is EDEN. Every night the kids have been to bed by 8:30, and up by 7:30. Eden has also stopped wearing pull-ups to bed (don't jinx me by saying this) this week, and has not had an accident (this has been a looooong process).
Seemingly subtle changes for such a transitional momentous week, miraculously transfigurative in breadth.
